I'm exhausted. The movers still aren't done. I have cleaning still to do, but I needed to take a break. So I thought I would check in.
Yesterday I received my "Love for Oklahoma" necklace that I order about a week-and-a-half ago from The Vintage Pearl, thanks to the fact that my favorite Canadian in the whole wide world, Tracey (who now lives in Oklahoma) posted it on Facebook. Great timing and an awesome memento...a reminder of the happy years spent in Oklahoma, made by Oklahoma artists.
Isn't if FABULOUS? I happen to be a sucker for super cute packaging...it is not lost on me AT ALL. So KUDOS to The Vintage Pearl for taking the time on a lovely presentation.
But more importantly, some of the proceeds from these necklaces go to the OKC Chapter of the American Red Cross. I think it is a fantastic way for this Tulsa, Oklahoma company to help the victims of the Oklahoma tornadoes this year. For more information and/or to order a necklace, click HERE! Now one other thing:
Coffee. Yes coffee. I adore it. Can't live without it. Drink it every day. BUT, the pic has to do with a tip Mr. Mover gave me today. He told me to put coffee in a sock and put it in the refrigerator before he packed it. The coffee is supposed to absorb any odor that may be present while the refrigerator is in storage for a week. I was really struck. I had never heard that, and I was quite impressed by Mr. Mover's Tip of the Day...Pinterest worthy. I will let you know in a week or so if it actually worked. Luckily, I had this coffee in the freezer, so I filled two of my husband's socks...tied them in knots....and put one in the freezer and one in the refrigerator. And since I am moving for my husband again, I thought he could donate a pair of his socks for the cause. :-) And BTW, this is not my coffee of choice. I hadn't even opened it, so I cannot even attest to its taste. I am a die hard Dunkin Donuts coffee fan...one of my absolute favorite things about New England. My other favorites are Douwe Egberts at Embassy Suites hotels and Tim Hortons in Canada. But, again, I digress. Did I mention I love coffee?
Thanks for stopping by!
